Women's Vascular Summit Second Annual Meeting

April 30 - May 1, 2020  |  Buffalo, NY

**The 2020 event has been canceled.  Registration is open for 2021**

COVID-19 Update:

Dear Women’s Vascular Participants:

On March 13, the Program Directors decided to cancel this year’s Women’s Vascular Summit meeting due to health concerns related to the Covid-19 virus. We understand that many of you already have travel bans in effect, and this makes offering the best quality meeting difficult. The state of New York has imposed a ban on large gatherings, and many schools in the area have begun to close. We want to do whatever we can to keep all participants safe, and have decided the best course of action is to proactively follow suit.

We will be postponing tentatively to the same weekend next year. Please mark your calendars for April 30th and May 1st of 2021.

Please contact your airlines or travel agents right away to cancel or get credit for your flights. Most airlines are being very cooperative and not charging any penalties or cancellation fees.

Hotel reservations can be canceled by contacting the hotel directly at: (716) 319-1096 and reference the "Women's Vascular Summit". They are aware of the change and are not charging any cancellation fees.

You will also see a registration cancellation notification via email. There is no action required on your part.

Please reach out of you have any questions. We wish everyone the best health during this time, and hope to see you at the 2021 Women’s Vascular Summit!

Warm regards,

On behalf of Dr. Linda Harris and Dr. Mariel Rivero,
Lynn Tomkins, Event Manager

The Women’s Vascular Summit is an annual meeting for medical professionals who treat vascular disease in women.   The Summit is designed to present and discuss what we know and do not know about how vascular disease presents differently in women, and how intervention is impacted by gender.

April 30 - May 1, 2021

Clinical and Translational Research Center at the Gates Vascular Institute

875 Ellicott St, Buffalo, NY 14203

Vascular Annual Meeting Women Surgeons Buffalo Disease
Featuring an international faculty, interactive group discussions and projects, mentorship program for vascular trainees, yoga, and an evening reception. After the flagship meeting in 2019, multiple research projects have been undertaken assessing differences in outcomes based on gender.  The meeting also serves to connect women Vascular Surgeons and other practitioners involved in vascular disease from students to senior surgeons.

What is this meeting about?

Topics include the broad spectrum of vascular disorders including  peripheral arterial disease, cerebrovascular disease, aortic aneurysms, aortic dissections, access, and venous disease.  Interactive group discussions will allow participants to ask questions and to work together to develop future research projects. Last year, we were able to fund 1 research project which developed out of the meeting, and it is our hope to continue this process, encouraging women to pursue research together and focusing on gender differences in vascular disease.

The meeting is being held in Buffalo New York, at the newly constructed Clinical and Translational Research Center at the Gates Vascular Institute, on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus.

We hope to see you in Buffalo!
